Job Description
The client
With approximately 3000 Employees throughout the Middle East & Africa, our oversees the design and construction of a variety of mega-infrastructure projects, commercial; city center, large exhibition and recreational complexes, high standard residential buildings, presidential compounds, high rise office towers and ceremonial courts.
In all, our client and its employees are responsible annually for capital improvement and construction worth more than 1 billion us $.
The role
Single point responsibility for the assigned hotel project on a time, cost and quality basis
Control of and responsibility for assigned staff
Ownership of the Project Cost monthly reporting
Preparation of detailed reports and recommendations to senior management
Preparation and monitoring of programs as required
Development of interactive PC based reporting systems that keep senior management constantly aware of the key project indicators for the Company's activities
Setting up and managing document and check systems
Keeping the company aware of industry innovations and products beneficial to the Company's operations and developments
Protecting the Company's interests with regard to Project delivery and potential claims situations
Reviewing Contractor program submittals and commenting upon technical and practical competence and fitness for purpose
Participating in and coordinating value engineering and risk analysis reviews and making recommendation to management
Reviewing competence of companies being nominated with regard to planning abilities
Reviewing tender documents and reporting deficiencies/recommendations
Tender reviews and preparation of report
Discussion and liaison with Consultants and third parties
Monitoring design progress and adequacy and development of tracking documentation
Monitoring and taking a proactive role with regard to Post Contract installation works including but not limited to
gement system
Taking suitable corrective and preventive action to address non-conformities
Skills
At least 15 years of post qualification experience in a senior management position with a main contractor in the Middle East
Handled projects from excavation to close -out
A comprehensive knowledge of applicable forms of contract, their application and administration
An astute commercial awareness and ability to manage substantial main contractors and consultant organizations
Fully conversant with ALL commonly used planning tools and software and in particular Primavera
Education
Degree in Construction Management / Civil Engineering
Experience
At least 15 years Project Management experience from a Contractor background
Must have Hotel build experience from the Middle East
Only South African, Jordanian, Syrian, Lebanese nationals need apply others will NOT be considered

Contract Duration:

Salary & conditions: £80000 - £100000 per annum + Acc, Flights, Medical, CAr / Currency: GBP
