Procurement Manager
Work location: Libya
SNC-Lavalin has been awarded many construction projects and is looking for a Procurement manager.
Responsibilities:
1-Manage the functionality of Project Procurement department and supervise employees.
2-Implement and maintain procurement procedure, hence ensure compliance of all procurement activities.
3-Develop, review and approve or improve administrative, purchasing and clerical procedures to maintain efficiency of operations and reduce duplication.
4-Maintain proper filing and documentation flow of Strategic Procurement.
5-Manage and maintain Vendor Registration and database.
6-Negotiate right buy; right price, right timing, right quality and right quantity
7-Coordinate the logistic of supply and delivery to ensure meeting project and internal customer schedule.
8-Build strategic alliance with key supplier and manage supplier relationships for effective cost and purchasing strategies
9-Source and propose new, capable and competitive suppliers for management consideration
Requirements:
1-Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Engineering, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
2-15 years of experience in procurement
3-Experience in the construction domain and in institutional buildings
4-Experience with international suppliers
5-Team leadership, communication and decision making skills;
6-Planning and projecting skills;
7-Aware of local and international standards and regulations;
8-Good adaptability to a multinational environment, with wide exposure to various culture and customs;
9-Experience with expatriation condition.
10-Fluent in English, French and Arabic an asset.
