Job Description
•Mon-Fri, 08:30-17:00, 37.5 hours per week.

Description
Tourvest Duty Free is an international in-flight retail specialist based in South Africa with a UK division based in Gatwick, West Sussex. The company offers services to airlines wishing to maximise their sales onboard, including warehousing, logistics, merchandising, marketing, crew sales training & incentive programs, cash collection and reconciliation. At the heart of the UK operation is an in-house back office and reporting system and front end EPOS (electronic point of sale) system.
You will report directly to the Information Systems Administrator and be responsible for helping to maintain this system and providing general IT support for the company in the UK.
This position is offered on a six month contract basis and designed to take over some of the current day to day responsibilities of the Information Systems Administrator while they focus rolling out critical projects for the business. Should the requirement of the business change over this time the contract may be extended or the role be offered on a full time basis.
The major functions in this position are:
•To manage the daily availability of the onboard EPOS (Electronic point of sale handhelds) system and airline crew training equipment, ensuring agreed levels of uptime are met.
•To ensure that a proactive maintenance programme for the EPOS system and its constituent components is put into place and adhered to in order to ensure timely replacement before life end or if damaged or otherwise rendered inoperable.
•To assist with the timely and accurate testing of all software and hardware systems before deployment in a live environment.
•To take control of the in house airline crew trainer training for contracted EPOS operatives. (this will involve UK and may involve some overseas travel).
•To assist with all local requests for information systems and hardware support.
•To assist with IT support requirements related to the webstore.
•General ad-hoc work as requested.

Qualifications/Skills Required
The position is ideally suited for a graduate or college leaver with good overall competence in computer hardware and software who is looking to gain experience in with a view to a career in this field.

We are looking for a Network Engineer for our Libya operations, with at least 2 years experience in configuration and trouble-shooting hardware routers and switches in a LAN, WAN & VLAN environment, a good knowledge of the internet and IP and an understanding of SMTP, DNS, SNMP, DHCP and routing technologies.
