Senior Contracting & Procurement Professional Tripoli , Libya
Shell Libya is currently executing its multi-year exploration program in Libya and is looking for an experienced and motivated senior contracting and procurement professional.
Responsibilities:
-To maximize commercial value for shell Libya, by applying sound contracting and procurement policies in compliance with applicable laws and standards.
-To coordinate all contracting processes prior to commitments being made (tenders, negotiations, contract preparation, drafting and administration ).
-To assist well engineering contract holders to effectively manage contractor performance through implementation of contact management plan, HSSE improvement plans, and participation in contract business performance reviews.
-To develop less experienced contracts engineers and act as mentor to assigned individuals.
Specific challenges are to manage multiple interfaces with contractors and shell contract holders and to deliver continuous improvement of procurement performance and contract management.
Requirements:
-Experienced contracting and procurement professional with leadership development potential.
-University degree and/or relevant (CIPS) accreditation and at least 5-10 years of relevant contract and procurement experience with an international (oil & gas) company, and preferably with international and well engineering experience.
-Ability to maximize commercial opportunity whilst minimizing risk to shell.
-Good balance between commercial acumen, risk management and business sense with sound compliance focus.
-Team player, strong analytical and good communication and interpersonal skills. Pro-active, open minded and solution driven mindset.
-Strong knowledge of the competitive tender process, associated business controls and of contract models. Knowledge of well engineering contracts is beneficial.
