Procurement / Material Expeditor
Work location: Libya
Project: Benina Airport Development Project

Responsibilities:
- Issue EXPEDITING initial confirm with VENDOR(S) their understanding of purchase order obtain from VENDOR(S) a comprehensive schedule to allow the EXPEDITING to gauge the progress of an order Contact VENDOR(S) for follow-up of engineering data submission, materials acquisition, progress and any deliveries advice / status. Expedite NPCC Engineering to release missing or incomplete information to VENDOR(S). Expedite
the inputs, prepare, update and regularly issue the Equipment / Materials Status Report periodically as required by the project procedure. Check at appropriate times to verify that schedule activities actually take place. Evaluate and analyze VENDOR'S fabrication schedule and progress. Issue critical items report on a weekly basis to summarize
activities and status of most critical orders to the project's progress. Maintain close contact with assigned Inspection
Coordination to determine the effect of quality issue on VENDOR'S schedule. Maintain EXPEDITING files in a uniform manner and keep it completely up to date. Verify that contact has been made between the VENDOR and the Inspection Coordinator to request the presence of an inspector. Assist the Inspection Coordinator by motivating the VENDOR to correct quality discrepancies as quickly as possible. Obtain initial tracing information on assigned orders as each shipment is made. Advise Projects EXPEDITING Supervisor on any unusual or potential critical deliveries. Issues Liquidated Damage report (if applicable). Upon completion of an assignment the project Expeditor will issue an EXPEDITING report marked "final". Determine the causes of delays and immediately report findings plus recommendation to the project so that possible solutions can he proposed and relayed back to the VENDOR. Verify invoices for progress payments.
- Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
- Confers with department supervisors to determine overdue material and parts and to inform supervisors of material status
- Records and maintains perpetual inventory of quantity and type of materials and parts received.

Requirements:
- B. Sc. In Engineering 6 years overall experience in similar field of Projects Construction.
- Has knowledge and experience in overall materials procurement aspects, fabrication programs interpretation and analysis, progress verification and reporting, awareness to some familiarity with other fabrication aspects such as VENDOR'S quality surveillance and shipping major related procedures and methods for projects in construction industries with multi interface with engineering and other involved disciplines. Initiative, Analytical, presentable, dedicated and team work oriented.
- Good command of business written, reporting and spoken English,
- Communication skills
- Computer literate, Very organized with systematic work approach.
- MS Office - Other ERP Program (like SAP etc.)
- Fluent in English
