Cost engineer
Our client is a major international contractor with a multi billion euro turnover.
They require a number of cost engineers for a Major Civil engineering project in Libya.
The position would ideally suit a candidate with experience in Arriba software however if you have experience on a similar estimating and project controls software it would suffice.
The position could also suit a Jnr/Intermediate Civils QS/Eng who has a good construction knowledge and who is prepared to work essentially with a computer for the majority of the day.
The duties of the roel are as follows
- knowledge of cost estimate (work estimate in ARRIBA)
- monthly performance evaluation and follow-up of certified / certifiable performance
- monthly production overview and control of auxiliary cost centers quarry, asphalt and concrete plant
- preparation of cost comparisons (planned vs actual), monitoring of cost development and result reporting
- technical controlling: evaluation of actual cost according to activities based on daily
site reports and comparison to work estimate via ARRIBA in connection with MS Access database
- analysis of discrepancies
- reporting to project and area management
