8173BR : Onshore Drilling Engineer (90128)
We are looking for a Libyan national to join our Drilling Team as an Onshore Drilling Engineer. The position will be based in Tripoli and will report to the Wells Team Leader. The program involves starting up BP Libya's 12 well exploration program due to spud in mid 2010. Initially the post will be focused on well planning and contract negotiations prior to spud and moving to operational support once rig operations commence.
The Drilling Engineer will be accountable for engineering activity covering the planning, programme and contracts preparation and execution of drilling and workover operations within the wells team. As part of the drilling engineering team you will deliver engineering design, program preparation and operational support on the exploration wells. Working with multi-disciplinary teams, you will ensure drilling programs, program amendments and dispensations to policy are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed.
